The Nebulas in our Hearts.
Chirping sounded from the surounding woodline as a deer softly grazed on the green soybean field. Twilight had set in and the forest had started to darken. The entire scene was like that of a halmark card. Rolling fields of beans and wheat contrasted the shades of red and yellow. The entire part of the country was like this, small woodlines surrounded by fields. Along the amber wheat feild there was a red truck parked, its engine off and its cab empty. The setting sun made the cherry red paint glisten and shimmer.
As the sun loomed halfway on the horizon, a husky juped into the back of the pickup and sat on the side of the bed. His large fluffy tail drooped down the side of the truck. He beckoned to the one in the bed. Slowly a wolf sat up on the side of the truck and leaned against the large male, his tail intertwining with the huskys fluffy tail. As night began to fall on the two males, the stars and moon began to shine down on them. Every star was viewable and the entire universe seemed to light up in all its majesty.
The two males sat down against the trucks cab, their paws clasped together as they looked up at the stars.
"Look up there wolfy. Look at those stars, see the way they form those arcs and formations?"
The wolf nodded and looked over at the husky his eyebrow lifting slightly showing his unsureness.
"They were made to look beautiful to everyone who looks up at them. They have immense power in them and yet from where we are, they look more beautiful then anything a mere mortal can make."
"Were are you going with this Tyson?"
"The stars are like our hearts. Each one has a ton of power, and yet they arent as beautiful to everyone.." He puts his large paw on the wolfs chest softly, looking into his eyes. "But to the right person, someones heart can be brighter than any star in the entire universe."
The wolf chuckled softly and kissed the husky on the cheek. "You always were a little corny. But still sweet."
The husky smiled and gently kissed the one at his side on the cheek. His paw gently interlacing with the wolfs as stars began to fall from the heavens. The night was perfect in all senses of the meaning. Crickets chirped as a soft, cool breeze blew through the area. Looking into the wolfs eyes, Tyson softly began to cry. His life had been changed, his demons had been exiled back to where they belong and the one who had done it was sitting right beside him. The two gazed in each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity.
Time seemed to stop as the two muzzles met in a passionate kiss. Falling stars stopped, crickets fell silent, and the only thing remaining was the soft breeze and the beating of two hearts, synced through compassion and love.
