1: Eve by Tubes heater

Traditional electric heaters may warn up your room, but their ugly designs will chill the soul, so WIRED is only too happy to recommend Eve. This 40 x 35cm Bluetooth-controlled 800W heater, designed by Ludovica+Roberto, is made from rigid structural polyurethane and is available polished chrome, matt gold, matt white and glossy red. It releases hot air in 360 degrees from a slot at ground level, has a boost function for taking the chill off quickly, and features a handy ambient light that can be used with or without heat. Available from September, £poa tubesradiatori.com

2: Kyros by Ceramica Cielo vanity unit

Designed by Andrea Parisio and Giuseppe Pezzano, the Kyros is a gracefully designed oval washstand that stands out from the pack due to its extra-deep, flawlessly cast 18cm ceramic basin and matching storage unit that allows an impressive level of customisation. Firstly, choose from a palette of 16 muted Terre di Cielo colours; next, team your colour with one of four oak or one Eucalyptus woods; and finally finish with a Nero Matt, Brushed Bronze or Titanium metal frame. €poa ceramicacielo.com

3: Lotte Douwes Circular Collection cups

Dutch designer Lotte Douwes has pioneered a way to recycle porcelain that would otherwise have gone to waste. Her creations, made from powdered shards, can be used as a substitute for pure white kaolin – the primary ingredient is heavily mined in the mountains near Jingdezhen in China – and has almost identical qualities to the virgin "white gold". From €39 lottedouwes.nl

4: Watermark Elements ELE02 tap

You'll not find a more on-trend bathroom tap. This deck-mounted "3 Hole" basin set comes in a gunmetal finish with Jungle (marble-effect metal) cover with tarnished brass scallop insert. If you'd prefer something a little different, each Watermark tap is available in 15 finishes. £1,622 thewatermarkcollection.eu

5: Fritz Hansen Objects mirror

London based design duo Studio Roso from hand-painted aquarelle graphics has created these wall mounted pieces of printed reflective glass that produced an innovative rainbow effect on the mirror’s reflective surface. £612 fritzhansen.com

6: Eclipse bath by Antonio Lupi

With sweeping lines and deep, indulgent curves, this bathtub is worthy of the world’s most luxurious homes and hotels. However, what really caught WIRED’s eye is the fact it has been cast in Cristalplant, a sustainable composite material made in Italy using a mix of minerals and bio resin. Fifty per cent of its composition derives from materials recovered from the processing of Bauxite for the extraction of aluminium – which also makes it 100 per cent recyclable, easy to repair, UV resistant, fireproof and incredibly hygienic. €tbc antoniolupi.it

Plant by Tom Dixon

More than just another pretty vase, Tom Dixon’s unique double-headed creation has been designed as much for creating terrarium style micro eco-systems as it is for arranging posies. Each piece is mouthblown into its unique curvaceous form, and with no one being the same size, models vary from between 20-30cm wide and up to 34cm tall. Thanks to the atrium design and large, flat base, it’s perfect for planting succulents on a bed of mossy greens and pebbles. From £120 tomdixon.net

Herringbone tray by Phil Cuttance

Made from Jesmonite – an eco-friendly, non-toxic, UV stable, water-based cement-like material, with no VOC’s – and despite looking like a perfectly rendered CAD drawn 3D object, each tray is painstakingly made by hand in Phil Cuttance’s London studio. Each 22cm long tray is finished with a scratch proof, laser-etched cork base and comes wrapped in wholly sustainable, 100 per cent recyclable packaging. £58 philcuttance.com

Nebula Capsule

Smaller than it has any right to be, and perfect for watching movies in the bath, this drink-can-sized Wi-Fi-connected AV suite manages to pack in a standard-definition DLP Pico projector capable of throwing a 100-inch screen, Android 7.1 interface with dedicated app, Airplay and Miracast compatibility, four-hour video playtime and a 360° 5W speaker. $350 anker.com

Ryota Yokozeki Ceramic Diffuser

Made by the century-old Shibukusa Ryuzo Pottery in Gifu, Japan, this subtle room diffuser uses a clever glaze that allows the ceramic plate to absorb liquids, helping to retain the fragrances from the essential oil. Available in a wide array of soft colours, each plate is handmade and mounted atop small fan that disperses the aroma around the room. £tbc ryotayokozeki.net

Chainette Curtains by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec

Taking a break from cladding the majority of the best wireless speakers, Kvadrat has gone back to its roots with a sensational partnership with French designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. The result of which is a textile collection that uses a graphic chain-like framework of patterns and a ghostly translucent material to create a fabric with strong geometric lines and an almost 3D appearance. Intended for use as a room divider, it is available in a range of white and grey tones with a variety of stitching, including yellow, green, orange and blue. £tbc kvadrat.dk

Bowl Mirror by Inbani

The Bowl bathroom collection uses thin tubes of metal, Ceramilux composite resin and marble detailing to produce slender framed pieces that look luxurious despite their skeletal proportions. The complete range features wire-framed wash basins, wall sconces, towel racks and storage units, but WIRED’s pick is the elegantly styled free-standing mirror with wire towel rack and marble storage unit, available in gloss rose gold or a coloured lacquered frame.
