I suck at backgrounds... but I dun think this one is TOO bad xD I still don't like hoe the bench turned out, I think I did it too grungy and it doesn't fit the clean colors of the character. Oh well... that bench took a while so xD

Nah, the bench looks fine. If anything, the grunginess of the bench contrasts well to the clean colors of the character. If both had clean colors, they would blend in and the character and the background wouldn't be distinguished as two separate entities.
I personally think it looks great, and fits well. Anything to make that wuff stand out and be more noticeable is a-ok in my book. ^_^

Love the overall tone here, all the browns you've chosen portray the emotion quite well. Reminds me of autumn. It's not quite the dreamy haze that your previous pictures have been, but I'm sure that was your intent in the first place. ;)
