Hikari has definitely changed for the better. I was kind of surprised how mature he was about Manaka/Tsumugu and how he even went so far as to try to make their dreams come true.

Hikari's development is really sickening my mind in a good way, coz seriously I am starting to reconsider my ships. That guy

has grown so much that I have gotten confused now. Now it's between dedication vs compatibility, and I don't know what to

choose. He has to be one of the best developed character this season so far.

"If you try hard at something you can't do, it only hurts in the end." So deep and a eye-opener, this show is really

something. This show is giving me way too many feels, and me being in not my best state isn't helping much either...

"Ojoshi-sama is going to die" xD Manaka's expressions are so cute

That ojoshi-sama broke, poor guys...

Thosem magic attacks really caught me off-guarded. This anime is a work of art with how it portrays feelings... and all the

characters are so lovable.......

Yes, yes, yes! Shit's going down now that Hikari and Akari have left.

The big shots have shown just how less mature than the kids they can really be. I was ready to burst at those incompetent failures for being so stuck-up.

9/10 Great buildup, great character development.

Hikari's trying harder to make Manaka's wish come true, to do the Ofunehiki.

Hikari made an character development

Uroko-sama's power was pretty cool.

Hikari's leaving too?? they are so determined to leave.

Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga.
Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month.
Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel.
The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck.

Really sad about the ojoshi-sama being destroyed once again T_T I expected Akari to eventually go to the surface, but not Hikari. I've got a feeling he won't stay very long.

Well okay. Hikari changed within 7 episodes for the better. I honestly don't know how the pairings will work out now considering I like the whole main cast.

Who knows?

And things come crashing down again with the stubborn adults stepping on the dreams of the youth... no one among the bickering men could see that those young men and women right there represented a possible harmonious future between the two peoples.

Damn, after I praised him a bit for being a little bit open minded for not interfering with Akari's choices, their dad does a 180 and goes all conservative mode...

As for Hikari, he deserves praise for having changed from the brash, immature kid he was in the beginning. Hurray for character development!

I have a feeling Hikari won't be gone from Shioshishio forever.. almost cried though when Akari and her brother were trying to leave and Miuna and father were walking away. That would be so terrible to have to make that decision. I feel bad for their father. He's stubborn but I sense so much more.

And I just have to say.

So I was right after all, Akira really is leaving the water town. I didn't thought Hika would too. But will he not lose his Ena by doing so? Also, what did the priest mean by ''You are their descendant''? I guess it will be a big revelation.

That priest really was OP xD

The two tribe leaders really are a bunch of bastard, especially Hikari and Akira father. Seriously, he just watch the two tribes fight and then after everything have turned to total shit, he just say ''Are you happy now?''. What the fuck dude? That was just plain stupid.

Next episode, I guess next episode, we'll see them live at Miuna house and since Miuna seem to have a crush on Hika, she'll probably try to get closer. Also, it look like Chisaki say something embarrasing to Hikari. Maybe she's asking him if he love Mana?

Hikari and Akari left their dad alone ;_; I feel sorry for their dad. Even though they left him, he still begged Uroko to let them go T^T
Uroko is pretty badass with that powers!!
Man, what will happen to their relationship now?? How will they stay as friends if they have feelings for each other.

Loved this ep. One of the most powerful parts was when Akari started to cave but then she saw the image of Miura and Itaru and kept going.

Hikari choosing to go with his sister and showing how he's learned to get along with the people on the surface shows a lot of growth. I love him! And I usually don't warm up to MCs this fast hehe.

The dad has a lot of guilt on his mind now, but I'd say he kind of dug his own grave. The adults at that conference were acting as stupid as YouTube commenters.

Dang it.. this is all so wrong.
Those adults are such idiots.. what is there to say.
I really feel for Hikari.. trying his hardest.. hurting all the while.
I might be repeating myself but Hikari's just growth so much.. really admire him.
I don't get what was in their dad's mind.. but he probably has his own thoughts.
They manage to escape.. well I would definitely do the same in Hikaru's place.
I have to admit a part of me wants Akari and Itaru's drama to end already.
How will things develop now ? Arghh.. go for it Hikaru.

Feel kinda bad for the dad. His wife died long ago and now his children left him and he has no one anymore. Something is not being shown. I feel like we're not getting the whole picture. And holy shit is the animation amazing! Why don't we get more anime that look like this. I really love that ED! I'm going to hate it when they change it. Onto the next episode!

They kind of overdo how stupid the adults are lol, the kids are even more mature. I understand the disagreement just not the straight up brawling that led to destroying Ojoshisama. Also I think Hikari's dad is actually really protective even though he comes off as an emotionless jerk. It's just that he has to choose between his family and his duties as a sea priest. I really hope there's some more development soon on whatever Uroko was talking about.

WHAT AN AMAZING EPISODE HANDS DOWN PA WORKS
FUCKING BEAUTIFUL ANIMATION
JUST WOOOOWWWW FOR HIKARI'S DEVELOPMENT it's been a long time since i saw a character development like that
Really nice seeing the land and sea people working together to make the ofunehiki real
And the discrimination between the adults is back again
Hikari leaving the village with his sister was unexpected
Cool to see what Uroko-sama is capable of
Excited to see where this will go from now on

But seriously, those adults bickering like kids. Even those kids being dramatic in the last episode seems more adult than them.

The class finally working together for the same objective, all ruined by the adults and their pride.

Their dad acting like that was honestly infuriating, "I told you so", oh c'mon, Hikari and Akari did the right decision with leaving.

I don't know how to feel about this... I don't think it's completely a matter of racism, but also population decline? We've seen very few young people in the sea village, and if the women keep leaving and having descendants that have no Ena then the village will eventually die, and that's a very legitimate concern.

I sure hope that Hikari x Manaka happens...

So much happens in every episode. Good lord, this was a weird one. O can't believe that the people of the land and sea couldn't even get along for their own children who wanted to hold the festival that THEY ALL decided arbitrarily not to do. To the point where they shove Hikari and he ends up break the Ojoshi-sama. Fucking sad. And the people of the sea started accusing the land people of "stealing their women"??? As far as I remember, Hikari mentioned the lack of unmarried men even living in the Sea village, so if they want to keep their women there, obviously things need to change. Start some blind dating programs, at least something. You can't just ban people when they want to leave.

Is this some sort of cult?? This episode made me so mad. I hated seeing Uroko-sama keeping Hikari and Akari there, freezing them and telling them that he needs to protect them because their part of "his" bloodline. Like fuck you guys. Hikari wouldn't have wanted to leave if you people didn't close the middle school, first off. And secondly, he wanted the fucking people to work together. I guess the point is that we can't control how others react, but the sea people could have done something better, shown that they were better people.

I also think it's important to note that the land people had a legit complaint about the previous festivals, that the sea people complained too much about it themselves! "There wasn't enough money or resources" "there weren't enough people". So the land people were tired of it. So this is a historical problem, and I was just so mad seeing Hikari's dad just sit there with his arms folded, and then looks at his son and says "Have you done enough?". Disgusting. And then the dad proceeds to ask Akari to break up with her boyfriend. Obviously there is something else happening behind the scenes, as we see the dad and Uroko-sama at the end of the episode, but this was so appalling to watch.

EDIT: I also thought it was interesting that the screenplay for this episode and the last weren't done by Mari Okada like the previous ones. Wonder if anyone else noticed
